Offering stunning sunsets, beaches of many different colors, and, of course, our comfortable and luxurious Maui Life Realty Hawaiian retreats, your vacation to our island home will remind you that not only does paradise exist, but it also comes along with sweet treats and oh so delicious foods. The best vacations are the ones in which the memories of the meals you devoured shine as brightly as the adventures you enjoyed and the sights that you viewed, but if your vacation highlights also include the memories of the meals you ate, you can congratulate yourself for a trip well done. This guide to must-try summer places to eat in Maui will give you more reasons to congratulate yourself and more memories you will never want to forget!

Book a Maui Stay Here!

Spoil Yourself with Cantonese Lobster Noodles at Lineage, 3750 Wailea Alanui Drive in Wailea

Not every restaurant we list here will be a special occasion one, but you deserve to treat yourself at least once during your stay, and Lineage has one of our absolute favorite luxe meals, Cantonese Lobster Noodles. Offering a flavor explosion of the best kind, one of the best things about this dish is that the lobster is plentiful, not something you have to dig around just to find a morsel. Fresh, locally sourced, and absolutely delicious, your special occasion will be enhanced with this wonderful dish.

Families Love the Lilikoi Meringue Pie at Kitoko, 35 Auhana Road in Kihei in South Maui Gardens

Next, we are sending you to a food cart in the middle of a garden paradise for a pie that is made and served in a glass jar, because we love to surprise our guests. South Maui Gardens is a 6-acre plant nursery that is also known for its live music shows, hula shows, and the variety of food trucks that are offered, including Kitoko. Its Japanese-inspired menu never fails to impress, but their Lilikoi Meringue Pie tastes like joy in a jar and truly is the ideal summer treat.

Discover Loco Moco at the Castaway Café, 45 Kai Ala Drive in Lahaina

A visit to Hawaii isn’t complete without sampling an island specialty (no, it’s not Spam!) Loco Moco and the Castaway Café will have you believing in its magic at first bite. Made with a half-pound burger patty, 2 eggs, house gravy, green onions, and a generous scoop of white rice, this meal covers all the basic food groups and will start your summer adventures out in the tastiest of ways!

Sip and Savor an Iced Coffee from Akamai Coffee, 116 Wailea Ike Drive in Kihei

Ok, we know that coffee isn’t considered a food, but how many of you always skip breakfast but never skip that first cup of coffee of the day? Doesn’t that sort of make coffee a meal? If you’re going to be a stickler about the rules, however, Akamai Coffee offers a to-die-for chocolate chip banana bread that goes marvelously with their Nitro Cold Brew served straight from the tap. Their cold brew coffee is not for the faint of heart, as it is as strong and as dark as the hero on the cover of a romance novel, but even though your Maui Life Realty escape offers its own coffee maker or Keurig, this coffee shop is going to be your newest obsession.

A Taste of Kalua Pork Sliders at Pint & Cork, 3750 Wailea Alanui Drive in Kihei

It’s always the right time for some pub grub, and the Kalua Pork Sliders on the starters menu at Pint & Cork will make you glad to be a Hawaiian, even if you’re not! Honestly, anything on the menu at this fantastic pub will hit the spot, including their Short Rib Grilled Cheese, but the flavors of the sliders somehow reflect the flavor of Maui, made from slow-roasted pork, jicama slaw, and served on King’s Hawaiian sweet bread will make your stomach happy!

Shaved Ice at Ululani’s Shave Ice, 61 S Kihei Road in Kihei

Shaved ice is extremely popular in Hawaii, perhaps even more popular than ice cream, and we have to say that the wonderful people at Ululani’s Shave Ice have raised the chill treat to an art form. We can’t even tell you why we love it so much, but the rainbow colors of pretty much everyone’s tongues will be a testament to its popularity, and the exotic flavors offered at Ululani’s will never let you down. Their Lava Flow shaved ice is created from a blend of pineapple, strawberry, and coconut syrups, and in our minds, best reflects the signature taste of Hawaii.
