Whether you can or cannot, however, this guide to getting a head start on planning your summer vacation in Maui will give you a little something extra to look forward to in 2025.

Planning Your Wardrobe

Packing can often be the hardest part of travel, but not when you have Maui Life Realty on your side. You’re going to spend a lot of time at the beach and possibly a lot of time hanging out poolside, and while you could bring one suit and wash it daily, they don’t take up a lot of space, and we think your spouse, partner, boyfriend, or girlfriend will enjoy their own personal fashion show of swimsuits. When not at the pool or in the sea, shorts, tee shirts, and cute little sundresses will be all you need and if you don’t have at least one Hawaiian shirt or dress, never fear, you can pick up what you need in our shops and boutiques. A good pair of walking shoes, your most comfortable flip flops, and a light jacket to guard against cooler evenings finishes up your clothing needs, but we do suggest that you pack a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen as well!

Plan Your Beach Days

When the winter days were dark and cold you kept warm by dreaming about the beaches you would explore during your summer visit to Maui, but we doubt that you ever realized the extent of the wonders that await you. Of course, you will be spending a lot of time at the beach closest to your summer sanctuary, but with a little planning, you can explore the black sands of Honokalani in Hana, the red sands of Kaihalulu, also in Maui, or the white sands of Mākena State Park, located not far from your Maui retreat in Kihei. Snorkel with the sea turtles at Kā’anapali Beach, forego a swimsuit altogether at Pāʻia Secret Beach where clothing is optional, or learn to surf at Launiupoko. Each beach will steal a piece of your heart while providing an adventure you will never forget.

Choosing the Tours in Which You Will Participate

The best way to get to know a place is to take part in the tours offered by local companies and because you are trying to get a head start on your planning, purchasing your tickets ahead of time will ensure that you won’t miss out on the more popular tours that sell out early. Enjoy a bird’s eye view of the island with a helicopter tour offered by Maui Helicopter Tours or explore the waters aboard a kayak with Maui Kayak adventures. Although there aren’t any surfing tours, the thrill seekers amongst our travelers may want to pick up the sport by taking lessons at Surf Club Maui or explore the valleys and rainforests of Hawaii atop a gentle steed from Ironwood Ranch Horseback Riding. There are many fun tours and activities that will help you get to know your vacation destination a little better, documenting each experience by taking plenty of pictures that will make your friends and family back home feel envious.

Planning Your Epicurean Adventures

Your favorite place to eat, however, may be at the dining room table of your Hawaiian retreat, prepared by your own hands in our fully equipped kitchens.
